Hanging out with Family

Saturday Lincoln and I went and spent some time with Joel, Michela, and Yohann. I think Yohann is getting a little more comfortable around Lincoln, which is good since he is going to have a new sibling soon. Yohann always makes me laugh though, and he speaks really clearly for not even being two yet. His new favorite thing to say is "That's crazy"...so funny coming from a little kid.

Bath Time

So I finally gave Lincoln a bath today. I have been meaning to for the last couple days, but he has been cranky, and I just didn't want to deal with him screaming his head off. He is much more pleasant when he is calm before I put him in the water. He actually tolerates it. How bad of a mom am I? But really, babies don't get that dirty...that is my justification. Now I just wish his cradle cap would go away. It drives me crazy!

Anticipation

There are so many good things happening this month:

• Ashley is coming home!! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see her. I have missed her so much. I will make her come stay with me for awhile so we can catch up.
  
• Ryan and I will have been married for two years on the 14th.
• We celebrate our first family tradition (going to the Cider Mill) with Lincoln on my birthday.
• This is the last month Ryan will really have to kill himself working before I go back to the theatre and start getting paid for my teaching. Then we will get to see each other more and spend more time together. I've definitely missed that.
  

Okay, so there aren't that many things, it just seems like it because of my anticipation.

We're Going Retro

Okay, to start with we'll go back in time. A little over a month ago (August 20) we welcomed the newest member of our family, Lincoln Regalado Dempsey. He was born at 1:26 pm after 26 1/2 hours of labor. He weighed 9 lb 0.2 oz and was 21 inches long. Right now he has blue eyes and reddish hair. And if you heard rumors, they are true...I did not have an epidural. They scare me.

Something new

So I decided to try my hand at a blog so I can keep family and friends better informed on the goings on of our life. We will see how well I do and if I am actually able to keep this updated.
